I am using the 2107 for the 1st time....the job has a existing ID water heater an amtrol boilermate....The boiler control came with a sensor...It won't fit in the amtrol well. Can I use the amtrol sensor and hook it up to the ecomatic as if it was the same thing? If not where do I go from here? kpc

Carefully...
file or grind the sensor down so it fits in the well. We've had to do this before. I seriously doubt that the two sensors are compatible...

We just went thru
the same thing. I would think about not using the Ecomatic in this situation. Maybe use a Tekamr for reset and allow the Amtrol to run alone.
Better yet Sell them a Buderus indirect and they'll have a better piece of equipment.

not the amtrol
You cannot use the amtrol sensor with the 2107. You can however like it was said earlier grind it down to fit. It generally does not take much to get it in.0 -
Amtrol Sensor
If the Amtrol tank has the "Smart Control" then the sensor (10k ohm) from Amtrol can be wired right to the Logamatic FB terminal. If the "Smart Control" is not being used than as stated above, the sensor that came with the Logamatic can be filed down to fit the well. The sensor must be a tight and pushed as far into the well as possible. Thanks,0 -
after 3 phone calls....
I realized that it would not work...period. I ended up scrapping the old water heater and put in a SSU-60. The old Boilermate had an open well..pre 1991...live and learn.kpc
