...my thoughts and prayers are with all of the people in the affected areas. Isn't this the first category 5 in 13 years to hit the US? Even worse than Katrina?
Hope everybody listens and gets out where the evacuation orders are in place.

Rita is now a cat 5, headed towards Galveston. Crude is at 67.32 Best we can hope for is it whimpers a little and heads south. Best wishes to all in TX.0 -
Way worse than Katrina
ever dreamed of being, that is, if hurricanes have ego's.
All it takes, is a jog to the north right now, and it will hit SW Louisiana, SE Texas, and continue on to Houston.
At 897 millibars, water temp's of 85+*, 175mph, 580 miles to go, momentum slowing, picking up more moisture, this is going to be the worst hurricane in U.S. history.
What the heck do we pray for without appearing selfish?
Pray anyway, guys & girls.
Brian, in Swampland.
BTW, It was 100.4 deg F today at noon, in Indian Village, LA. where I live. This is unheard-of at this time of year.
