I would be more concerned with getting your R value up to snuff in your walls

Convector
I am remodeling a sunroom that has a convector recessed into an exterior wall. Living in New England, I'm concerned that there's basically no insulation in a big part of the room with the convector there. Should I pull it out and put in a cast iron baseboard or leave it? I have a one pipe steam system that generally works without trouble.0 -

cut a piece of foam insulation with foil on one side to fit in the back of the convector. Install it with the foil facing the room.0 -
Great Idea .....
Bob:
I like your idea and may do so with my wall recessed convectors, would the say 1/4 inch thick foam affect the flow of air/ volume of air moving thru the convector etc?
