No Circulation

I just had a new circulating hot water heating system installed. It has 6 zones with individual Taco 007 circulators on the supply side. The system pressure was set for 12 psi. When tested the zones on the 1st floor worked fine, however those on the 2nd floor did not. The Pex piping rises up to the roof ( 26 ' ) and then down into the radiators on the 2nd floor. The radiators had been vented.
We raised the system pressure to 25psi however the water was still not circulating. What could cause the problem and how could it be solved?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

NO CIRCULATION
flo checks are open? or system is air bound.rusko0 -
There should be purge
cocks somewhere in the system?? I generally locate mine right at the pump iso flanges. You may have to do one loop at a time, and a fast fill fill valve speeds up the process.
Once the air is purged make sure the pump is powered AND spinning. A stuck impeller is another thing to check.

26' is a high lift you want to check the chart that comes
with the pump you might be looking at a 008
i don't have one with me maybe some else does0 -
Static pressure does the job of lifting in a closed hydronic system. The circulator merely circulates.
12 psi will lift water about 27.6 feet.
You might want to temporarily install an accurate, low-reading pressure gauge at the high point in the system. On a system of this height you should read 1 - 1 1/2 psi with the system cold and the circulator off.0 -
not meaning to depress you ....
a circulator installed backward does a mighty fine job of not getting the job done,...from time to time.
something else that may help though, if you put in the circs, is back purging ,once you have established flow in one direction. .......if you have checks ,in-line , then give them a tap with a small beater stick and lossen up thier memory cells *~/:)0 -
\"The Pex piping rises up to the roof ( 26 ' ) and then down\"
Bet that's where your problem is. Unless there are vents up there it's a perfect place for air to get trapped. You may have to have vents installed if the usual purge method won't work.0 -
IFC ?
Perhaps the Pump has an IFC forced close when purging the system?

Steamhead is on to something
find that highest loop, install a tee and bring a tube down to where it can be purges with a hose bib on it. That high point loop may be a air lock problem every fall. Air will always make it's way up there over non use periods.
We used to drill into the copper pipe and solder a 1/4" soft copper tube. Drop the end down into an easy to get to space, and install a small valve for purging.
