hydronic baseboard
Looking at hydronic baseboard as a heating option in a new home. Will there be an upfront cost savings vs in floor hydronic heating? I am specifically looking at the "slimline" baseboard model.
thanks,

Be tough to answer
that without seeing your home or plans. Slab on grade? How many zones? Basement, crawl space? All these need to be factored in when comparing the two systems.
All hydronic systems, properly designed and installed, heat quietly and comfortably. Warm floors are my favorite, but hot water baseboard is still my choice over forced air.
It is possible to mix the two. I really like radiant in bathrooms and kitchen floor areas. Anywhere people satnd and congregrate.
Radiant floors under a carpeted bedroom really doesn't do much for me. HW baseboard would be my choice there.
