We're lucky enough to have a great supplier in the Bronx who will (and has) drop everything to get us something when needed.
Our favorite local supplier has also been very helpful in this respect.

It's happening more and more frequently
Friday we installed a 4 section , 5 zone boiler with indirect . All Taco IFCs . We get the call of heat bypassing one zone . A supervisor makes the hour and change trip to the home to find no IFC insert in the pump . Customer wants to know if we're gonna reimburse him fuel for the few days the zone battled it out with the AC .
Started a relocation of a boiler to the garage Monday . V84 and packaged Riello F5 with a missing nozzle assembly door . " Inspected with pride by Team Riello " sticker on the front of the burner !?! We were lucky it is a 3 day job and close to the shop .
Does anyone have a policy or understanding with manufacturers about faulty equipment and missing pieces , and some type of reimbursement plan for this stuff ? If I was a one man shop and had 2 hours round trip travel time plus diagnostic time for a missing IFC insert , I'd want to be reimbursed .0
