    Last week

I visited the factory where the Prestige boiler is assembled. In the showroom they had a display showing a combo prestige that incorperated a boiler and indeirect in a single package. It is a big seller in Europe and China but is not here as of yet. Looks pretty cool to me. WW

We were asked to go on that trip on real short notice. We had to bow out, no passports. It would have been nice to meet up with you. I usually do all my traveling in a C-130, C-5, or a KC-135!! Did you get caught up in any of the rioting in France. I know you went in and out of Paris. Any other cool products coming out? We are going down to TT in NJ end of the week to find out how much the prestige boiler control can really do. Welcome back home Wayne!

    You won't be disappointed

and you'll only be recieving the tip of the iceburg on what the control can do. That's a sweet combo package. I hope its here soon, I already have people looking at other combos versus the prestige with seperate indirect. However, I bet they will be disappointed when the fresh water side of the plate heat exchanger plugs up.

    Thanks Darin

We didnt go to France, and it's a good thing with the rioting I saw on TV going on. The Belgium beer was very good though. Tri tube is considering a new upgraded control that has more features. The one that grabbed my attention was an indoor compensator sensor that can reset the outdoor curve according to indoor temps, like some of the Tek mar controls can do. Tri tube has to approve it first though. Another product was their new package similar to the tri tube Delta, but with condensing features. One footprint for heating and hot water, and efficiencies slightly higher than the Viessman Vitodens. I'll try to put a picture up of it. WW

    Hey Hot Rod

I knew someone would ask me that. To tell the truth they told me but it didnt stick. I tell my wife the hard drive in my head is full and won't accept any new info for data storage. I remember they did say it was for apartments so I think the capacity is limited. It's only a 20 gallon storage. However if the Prestige is 110,000 btu input the recovery time must be fairly fast. The Euro combo units

so far have not lived up to the customers expectations, in my opinion. You really have to be sure the homeowner understands the limitations of the DHW side.

I will say folks that have live in or spent time in Europe understand to concept of flash or instantanous DHW heaters.

The average American homeowner likes to run multiple hot water taps at one time. And actually I do also! I shower, do laundry and often the dishwasher at days end. It's the only time I am home!

I would guess larger famlies would really be challanged to live with low flow DHW production.

I also agree with B-pro, flat plate HX on the domestic side need to be cleaned and maintained.

I think Triangle Tube may have a winner with that stye indirect connected.

    Funny you should ask Weez

Our factory tour was given by the Pres of ACV the company that sells to triangle tube. A very well spoken Belgium gent. They are not exploring any more oil based products due to the finite resourses of oil. His projections were for no oil in 30 to 40 years. I asked him then how long for nat gas. He paused and then said 60 years. Verrrry interestink! WW

    Thanks for the post, WW!

The Europeans have been pushing to make things smaller and smaller until they fit into the decor like all the other appliances in a kitchen, for example. The average US consumer has oodles of space by comparison and thus doesn't mind having a wall dedicated to heating...

The Europeans have also been demand-metering for years, which explains why all washing machines in the EU come with timers... run them at night when electricity is cheaper because (and this is a EU quirk also) EU washing machines tend to heat their own water. That's how they achieve 95°C water temperatures for getting the linens really really clean.

I agree with you that TT has a sweet partnership on their hands here. The combo boiler would be ideal for small homes with limited # of bathrooms.

One to keep an eye on.

We spent April 13th at the Triangle Tube factory in New Jersey and got some VERY good training from Jim Nicholas. He stayed on topic and his technical knowledge was quite refreshing. THANKS JIM!

The Prestige has some excellent features and will be right at home as one of the products we offer. We already have one in the field and when I finish typing this I am off to sell another.

Thanks also goes out to Craig Sakolish from DeMArco Sales for driving and keeping us in line.

    Rick(light-weight)Ganey from N&S Supply.

All the folks at Triangle Tube for making us feel like we mattered.

    It will not be forgotten.

Triangle Tube & Comfortable Home Technologies

They both have one foot into the future already. If you are serious about Condensing equipment you owe it to yourself to call Triangle Tube and schedule time with Jim from Engineering. You will be amazed at what the Control can do.

Mark(heavy-weight)Hunt made sure that New Jersey had to replenish their Scotch supply.

Comfortable Home Technologies made sure that Triangle Tube crossed their T's and dotted their I's. They were up to the task. Tremendous Products and People. Thanks, Triangle Tube and Comfortable Home Technologies. Let's go to Belgium!

I agree the Prestige is awesome

We have been installing the Triangle Tube Prestige for a few months now, maybe 15 installs. Not one problem to date. Great support from the factory if you have questions, we are scheduling a trip to plant. Look into this boiler, for the money it's a tremendous value. It easily has as many features and benefits as some of our high price German Manufacturer's. The control is state of the art. Check it out! God Bless The United States of America!
