    With Moist Eyes I Ask

We in the industry work with heat every day. I need to ask my fellow Wallies for prayer.

Grand daughter Julia has a fever in the 103 / 104 range. Not quite 2 her little body is fighting as hard as it can.

One or more of you through prayer may have the fix for her thermostat!

Open the pic and see our little blessing and Thanks you all are GREAT wall Friends

    Very Cute Terry

I will keep little Julia in my prayers. My daughter is just getting over a battle with the flu. She was up in the 103' range fever. But at 11 can handle it a little better than a toddler. Take Care,

    Terry, we can pray and..

trust that our "guy" with the Father, Jesus has heard our prayer and will heal Julia in a way that may bring glory to his father, the God that created Julia and all things in this world!

Just a question: What if its true? The story of Easter, that is? (and it's got NOTHING to do w/the Easter bunny!!!)

Please, all who read this, simply consider, what if the story is true?

My son's two and a half, and he's had a few fevers that high. Had me shaking with fear one night when a fever spiked up to 104.5. I'll never forget it... it's so sad when little ones are sick, because you know they don't have any idea why they feel so awful.

She'll be better soon.. .just keep her hydrated and let her sleep a lot. Our guy liked the "apple" flavored pedialyte a lot.

    Consider it done, Terry.

She is gorgeous, and with all the prayers going up, she'll be just fine.

My Autumn went through exactly the same thing at two, and again this weekend (she's nine on the 11th), fever, sinus allergies, coughing, no appetite etc'. Pulling through though.

Autumn just looked over my shoulder & read this, she said she'll pray too...we got Julia covered, buddy.

    I BELIEVE

For me and my family we will worship the Lord

The Easter Bunny is the story Jesus and his life are truth and I will share him and his ways with any one who asks.

Rather than wringing my hands with fear I trust in Jesus and the blessing those of you he sends to us in our time of need.

I have thanked him for his healing and all of you

    Our 3 Blessings

It's awful the kind of bible-thumping and holy-rolling that is allowed here (referring to posts by mac and Terry, above), while any critical remarks are censored. "Our guy with the Father" (post from mac, above)...are Jews, Muslims or Buddhists not welcome on this board?

And as for the OP, I hope the patient is being taken to a doctor. If the OP is depending solely on prayers to provide a cure, this would not be real smart.

    Everyone's welcome here.

This is a heating board, and our visitors have many faiths, or no faith all. That's why I discourage preaching or discussions about religion on the Wall. I feel the same about politics. We all have our own beliefs, and I think actions speak louder than words.

Your words are somewhat mean, JPG.

    Terry,

My wife and I prayed for her just now. I know fevers are scary and miserable, but it's the bodies way of killing the invader. It will drop when the work is done.
It's true that high fevers can induce siezures at times but even those are not harmful to the children I am told.
I will avoid getting on a soapbox, but just direct folks to www.livingwaters.com -click on "are you a good person?" and take the test. It might surprise you. Kevin

There is nothing awful about turning to or expressing one's faith in this time of need. The good folks on this board have helped me and many others without questioning our faith, color, or creed, and without compensation! Please be kind or be gone.

    Yes its true.

Its the bodys way of fighting infections but it dosn't need to continue. Its not healthy to allow the fever to continue. A cool bath can help drop the fever and Tylenol alternated with Ibuprophen can lower the fever.

I too hope that this child is getting medical attention.

    Grateful

that Julia is doing better. Yes, fevers are scary and an unavoidable part of the healing process.

You may take some comfort in the fact that children are far more tolerating than adults of high temperatures.

Julia's was high, sure, but not uncommon. I do not mean to minimize it or all that you all go through with all of that. Just that children, girls especially, are tough and can take more than most adults and come up smiling (in time).

Something about memories of a cool soft cloth on the forehead as a child..... Years later made me feel in retrospect that I was well taken care of.

    If you don't like it...

    Don't come back... Your perrogative.

But you don't have to be rude about it while you're here.
