Dad always strived to get us but good and Mom got us one year by putting salt in the sugar bowl & I loved sugar!
A few years ago, my niece was a student at tha CIA (Culinary Institute of America). She cooks good! The stinker stopped by with one of the most beautiful chocolate covered cakes we'd ever seen. Wanted us to be the first to try her newest creation. Well, if you like cardboard covered with whipped chocolate icing - you get the drift.
Yesterday, son Mike calls from college. The college and the state have been cracking down on underage drinking - 400 underage citations last week alone! Tells us he got busted. In PA, underage drinkers automatically lose their license - even if they aren't anywhere near a vehicle. He needs to work this summer - therefore, he needs to drive. Well, the schtinker got us good - too good! He'd best be marking his calendar - for 4/1/whenever(G).

The Viscious Press "If you don't want it reported, don't let it happen"
Date Line January 03, 2006
Worm farmer Bil Bjornepole recently filed charges against a local hydronic heating contractor named Gary Deal with Big Deal Hydronics. "He dang near kilt me!!" claims Bjornepole.
"Aw he's full of the same stuff he's been feedin' them worms. I din't do nothing to cause his problems, HE'S the one causing the problems. He's keeping the worm beds warm enough for HIMSELF."
The worms, in their automatic survival instinct ways, begin having sex and dividing and conquering. They increase in volume at the rate of 10 fold for each 10 degrees F the ground temperature is above 40 degrees F per day. Below 40 degrees F they are inactive and do not reproduce. At 85 degrees F, they breed 10 times per day, they are dual sexual, which means that they can not only be the male, but also the female, and they increase in volume by 50% of their population per day. Bjornepole claims that he was hauling 2,000 pounds per day of worms out of the growing beds. "The place was CRAWLIN' WITH THEM! "I was hauling waste products in here from all the local hydronic web sites, and THAT wasn't enough to quell their appetite. I had to sign a contract with a local hog farm to haul all their animal waste here just to keep the little buggers happy..."
When confronted with the facts, Deal said that Bjornepole still owes him money on the job, and probably always will. "Heck, the way he's running that place, we generate more methane than the buuilding needs. What he doesn't know won't hurt him. We're clearin' about $2,000 per month from his stupidity." The system to which deal refers to is an automatic waste to biomass converter that can convert anything that contains carbon. Which pretty much describes everything made. "If there are btu's left in it, we'll GET 'em out! Claims deal.
Scientist with the Bungh Trust, a non profit enviromental group, are unsure of the waste stream nor the energy efficiency of the system, but it employs about 100 people and scored extremely high on the LEED scale, so they "let it slide" and charged ahead with the project anyway.
The converter looks something like an electric kiln. Items containing residual btu's are placed inside the converter. THe converter is then turned on, and the item inside vaporized. This vapor is then filtered for large chunks, like tire rims and things like that that might cause a jam with the rest of the conversion process. Once cleaned, the "superaerated gas" is 90% hydrogen, and 10% unknowns. This gas is compressed in large cylinders and used as needed. The magic gas has a shelf life of 50 years, but can leak through the tightest steel know to man kind. "The thing is piped in PEX because of the nature of PEX molecules. They rearrange themselves to act like a gas check valve. The gas can flow in, but it can't flow out!" This makes it the perfect material for transfering, storing and distributing the magic gas.
