The wholesaler I buy most of my propress from just took them on and says those using them have had no problems. The O ring is very close to the end of the fitting unlike the Viega.

    Propress vs Xpress

Looking for opinions on the Ridgid system versus the Xpress system or any others there may be. After seeing some of the jobs on the wall and reading the posts I am going to buy one or the other soon.

    Thanx for any input.
    Eric

    Found it. Elkhart Products Corporation.

Press systems are great! Execpt. I fear the $39.99 pressing tool from overseas available at the big box stores , available to homeowners along with the fittings.

Most of them can't solder but they will raise havoc with these.

Especially when they are approved for gas everywhere. It won't mattter to them weather they have the correct fittings for gas or water.
    I see trouble ahead.......................................................................................................................................

    Amen to that

Is it true some supply houses are providing a free tool if you buy the fittings, if so which ones.
