It sounds like what we call a SNOWMAN, as it was a series of round sections stacked vertically. The now unfortunate part was the lightweight fireproof insulation that was adhered to the outside of most of those units. They were a durable boiler, but I have found them to be less than efficient due to the wide open flue passages. We used to put fire brick inside the passages to slow down the exhaust gases, but we had to be careful not to slow them too much.
At this point, that boiler has paid it's dues and should be replaced.

Mark, Are you sure about the model number because it is not familiar to me.

See if you can get any other info like its size, is it steam or hot water, how many sections, residential or commercial application.

era 1955 fire box door reads when inquiring use Ro2-W-6 series 4, This is all I can find on the unit. It is a round boiler about 5' tall

It looks like it could be a snowman.

I know it's time to change it out I'll do a heat loss on the house and speak with the property owner. I just had'nt the plesure to work on this model and could not fine the info on weil-mclain's site. Thanks for your help. It still makes domestic hot water with the 6gph tank.
