setback thermastats

I installed a Sensaphone #1104CS, purchased at Graybar for about $280.00 in a clients summer home. All you do is add an additional stat set for a few degrees lower than the setback temp of the original stat, it can be mounted out of sight in the living space. The 1104 will toggle between the two stats remotely. If I haven't been clear enough, or if you want more info, call my cell @ 973-670-2095.

setback thermostats
I have a customer who has a munchkin boiler with a vision 2 control. He lives in the city and would like to take his house out of setback before he comes to his house in the country. A regular t-stat would not work because he is not on a set schedule. I have used Tekmar controls which have an unoccupied terminal on them. The new Tekmar net4 controls do not have the ability to take a house out of setback. They will come out with a switching relay this summer. Does anyone know of a telephone responder that can take a house out of setback with a vision control? I have heard of a small heater which is placed under the thermostat which raises the temperature of the thermostat. The thermostat responds as if the room is warmer than the actual temperature, thus simulating a setback temperature.0 -
IP Thermostats
There are IP Thermostats that connect to the internet and you can check the temperature and change the setpoint from anywhere in the world.
Here is one: http://www.smarthomepro.com/3054t.html
All you need is someone with the computer smarts to set it up.0 -
The problem is that the house is so remote there is no cable for the internet.0 -
How about
A telephone?
Honeywell has a system that can be adjusted over the phone line.0 -
