nailing tack strips to floor

An inherited customer had the same concerns and those concerns became a problem. The carpet layers were instructed to use the construction adhesive at several places andtheose areas were spray painted RED.
Guess what?
The nailed a tack strip down and every nail in that 6 foot section penetrated a pipe. Fortunatly, it was the same pipe and it was the peice that came right off the header. I crawled under the stairs, hammered out the concrete (not gypcrete) and re-ran that line back to the manifold. A pressre test showed that was the only one. The next day, he was back up and running.
The carpet people got the bill.

I am getting carpeting installed this week and am nervous about nailing tack strips to the floor.I have wirsbo in gyp-crete.There is only one section about 7 feet wide that will have the strip nailed to the floor.I have pictures of the floor before the concrete was poured and have a good idea where we can nail but am still not 100% sure.A guy at work was saying that shutting the system off over night and then running it the next day and wetting the surface the tubing will show up.Any sugestions or tips i might use to confirm?I just dont want to hit a tube.
Thanks guys

Thanks for the tips.I tryed to check the floor with a infered but i got about the same temp thrue the entire area.Perhaps if I catch it when the system is ramping up?I was thinking of the construction adhesive but thought i read somewere that you should not glue to the gyp.If you guys have seen the glue work i would rather just do that and leave this area alone.
Thanks for the help
