pros / cons of downfiring boiler?
Can anyone shed some light on the pros and cons of downfiring a gas boiler for 1 pipe steam? I not sure how it is done, what is involved, the good and bad of doing it? My boiler is oversized, and short cycles. It is a Burnham, on 1 pipe steam.
Thanks,

and then contact Burnham and get their opinion!0 -
best bet
I have downfired system's and would still suggest you contact Burnham. I would never downfire a system unless they agree to it and tell me the minimum rating I can take it to. They can also tell you the pro's and con's of doing it with their system..0
