You Chuck have always been terrific! If recall the # 9.8&75, 9.6&12. don't recall the gas # but it didn't change much if at all when fired.

Vent is 2" with 2 90's each length is approx 4ft on incoming was 4.5 on out.

Owner call last night and said it didn't go off and wondered if leaving the mech room door opened made the diff? The cover was left on. I asked.

I've been busier that a one armed paper hanger with a broken arm but will try to call 1st of the week

t-50 that on start up the flame flutters. no adjustment gets rid of it. Tuned to specs. Had another one do it and tuned it out. Sometimes causes an f-10. At two in the morning. on nat gas. good pressure flow ect. I think the only one I haven't talked to yet is Jeff. Owner said it rumbled so bad once it shook pics on the wall.

    air inlet

have you check the air inlet to ensure it's clear and i believe the next step i would do is check the fan and through the controller check fan rpm to the gas valve modulation it could need to be reprogramed .The fan also could be out of balance .i haven't installed any of the wall hung units i'mm waiting for a t80 for myself and in this area my supplier says there about 3 to 4 weeks away i find that hard to believe ,but i have install a few 80 and 140 with really no issues on noise or burner fluxuactions sorry for the spelling peace clammy public school grad

    Try this

I had a similar issue with my Peerless Pinnacle 140 (same boiler really) It shook so bad on startup, if it wasn't held by piping it would have walked across the floor. Funny thing, was that the combustion gases were well within spec. Upon recommendation of the factory, I extended the exhaust pipe by a few feet & an extra 90* elbow at the end. I had only a couple of feet originally, as it was a straight shot out the wall. Completely solved the issue. Quiet as a church mouse now.

    Steve,

I personally don't recall talking to you, however if I did, and did not solve your problem, I am sorry. Please give me a call and let me know your combustion numbers on High (3000 RPM) and Low (1200 RPM) along with your gas pressure, static and dynamic, and I will do my best to help you solve the problem.

Check the condensate drain as well, to be certain that it is completely clear and pitched properly. If condensate is backed up, the boiler will have a difficult time at the low blower speeds (like startup). Once the blower speeds up it will either a) create a strong enough flame to overcome the back pressure or b)Blow the condensate through the drain, thus eliminating the restriction.
