.... so much nice equipment abused so badly on install. So much potential lost due to incompetence. On the other hand, it will give you an opportunity to shine as usual and to make others aware of what a "great" install ought to look like.
Are you going to be able to save the pumps and the boilers or have they been abused beyond their usefulness?

How to fix
This just isn't my week. I was called to take a look at this radiant system that was underperforming. I'm not sure I can do anything short of breaking out the sawzall and starting over. This one falls into the "design as you solder" category. -DF

"install these two boilers and be sure to use up all that leftover pipe from the last job so we can get it billed out, without just bringing it to the scrapper!"

Hmmm
It looks like a Dr. Suess plumbing job.0 -
Dan,
Looks like you hit the "motherload" this week!

Clean slate
I think the best course of action here is to start with a clean slate. I'll keep you posted. -DF

That sure needs a sawsall...Badly.
none of it looks "attainable". bye bye every last bit of it.if that is an injection controller from teckmar i might be inclined to re phrase that a bit...the wiring sure isnt in keeping with anything beyond slap it on the wall and get outta there. if the electrician is out to ruin my work i wait till hes out and explain it to the owner that it just doesnt work for me. and re do it so it is straight and as invisible as possible. i saw a great job piping the other day and the wiring was so bad i felt sad to say anything than how clean His work was....in the pics above though ,it looks like the electrician has a brother who is a plumber. its a pain in the brain cell.0 -
Gee I was hoping to at least get a chance to change out a circ or check valve on that job, actually the extrol looks like a good challange too.0 -
I know
The person thought the windows "pipes" screen saver was a design program.
That's going to be one unhappy customer (not with you I hope.) It makes you wonder what else is going to be wrong once you can actually figure out what is going on.

Opportunity knocks, Dan.
Fix it and make your money ! Radiant service is the fastest growing part of my business. The more popular radiant becomes, the more service (and money) we will all make.
You still get all of the primo projects, so you are out nothing and gain everything.

Remeber this one?
This was our solution to the problem. We cut all the pipes at the ceiling and started over. We used two Prestige 175's controlled by a tekmar staging control. These photos were taken before the pipes were insulated. -DF

cut & slice
the flexible gas tubing says it all. an unacceptable mess.slice it out like it never happened and tar & feather the moron that created it. salvage whatever possible.0 -
very nice
nice job Dan. Dont you love the labor savings that the propress offers. I see that you have posted a few jobs with the prestige boiler how have they been holding up for you? Are they easy to get programed and running?0 -
Oh Ya
I would love to get the call on a Saturday night, that the circulator has failed and could I get them some heat.
Just after dinner is served at your friends house that you've been waiting all week to be with.
No Problem everyone I'll be right back !
HAH !

Much better
I love it. Looks nice and clean. I like the way you worked around the corner to get more wall space. Why not? I see you used Nortec on this one. I like them a lot. Maintenance especially easy. Replace the disposable cylinder and be on your way. WW

Nortec
Hi Wayne,
We have been using the Nortec's for about a year now. The are solidly built and work well. Yes, they are very easy to service. We use them to differentiate us from the guys offering the standard evaporative humidifiers. -DF
