radiator valves
Hi guys,
this may be obvious to some so forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference between a radiator valve for hot water vs. steam? One has a hole in it that you can blow through..Is it really a shut off? If sombody could enlighten me as to which is which and what the hole is for I would feel so much smarter0 -
I'm sure there are others, but the valves I've seen for steam have a spherical body and no little hole. Was told that the valve design was to enhance the ability of condensate to flow back into a one-pipe system.
The hot water valves have a cylindrical body and a little hole. Was told the little hole was to keep a bit of water circulation at all times to help reduce the possibility of a freezeup when the valve is turned "off".0
