constant circ??

A question regarding constant circ- with a panel rad/TRV system piped in PEX and run through a crawlspace- would it be better off to shutoff circ when boiler shuts off? here's my logic- boiler shuts off, hot water circulates and most of remaining heat in pipes and rad's is given off into cold crawlspace. If I shut the circ off-rads will stay warm longer and hold their heat (at least that's how I see it). PEX is insulated in crawlspace, but rads still don't stay warm too long after boiler shuts off. The only thing I can think is that with the circ pumping all the time, heat in exiting into crawlspace. Long story, but what do you guys think???

Perhaps you're addressing the wrong problem?
I would consider checking out some of the info at buildingscience.com and/or the energystar web-sites and then go about sealing and insulating the crawlspace. 6 mil PE or Tu-Tuff sealing the floor and the exterior wall combined with a layer of XPS ought to do the trick and lower your utility bills as well. The more extreme the environment, the thicker the XPS ought to be.
Once you're done doing that, the main reason for your your question goes away.0 -
May i second that?
