Robert Bean training hydronics design

I once saw him take Bud on a fishing trip. Maybe that's the ticket!

    HRAI Hydronic Radiant Design Graduates

Robert Bean teaches a 4-day Hydronic Radiant design course he developed with HRAI. This course is listed as one of 4 that can provide training and certification to be a qualified Hydronic Radiant Designer in the Province of Alberta. The Alberta Building Code dated 'September 2005' requires all designers to take a certification course. What a great course it was! Most courses you normally participate in are held by manufacturers who have an invested interest to sprinkle in their product mix. This course is 100% about the math. Apply it in everything you do in design and you won't go wrong.

Wolseley Mechanical Group and Cronkhite Supply strive to be leaders in our industry and this certification course certainly fits the bill..... Great Job Mr. Bean and thanks to Lynn Bartoshuk with HRAI in making this happen!

    Bean me up Scottie !

I'm getting smarter just thinking about 4 days in a classroom with Robert. Sounds like an "A" ticket, for sure.

    Bean bagged!

Thanks again Dave and hello Hot Rod,

An oustanding group...four days with Wolseley's best and guests...

Ask this….what wholesaler sends 15 of their guys from all over - with four days off from the office to become an HRAI Certified Designer? Not only that, they held the function in their office and allowed non Wolseley folks to attend….who does that kind of stuff?

W-O-L-S-E-L-E-Y did, does and plans to do again for more of their team. Right now, the big W has more certified hydronic design guys than any other wholesaler in the country…3 hour exam…no problem for these dudes and dudette! (yahoo Kari! This fireball has her J ticket, works on Dave’s team in the design department and would be seriously tough competition in the cutest looking plumber contest...she's got game!)

Hats off to Dave Heath for taking a leadership role in this business and making this happen…it’s no accident why they’re number one…and grooming others to be the same.

Tomorrow we do another four days in Halifax, Nova Scotia…

East vs the West…gotta love the competition.

    Hi wetheat1

    Hi wetheat1,

HRAI does offer ventilation certification courses in the U.S. through a number of associations.

    Here's a link:

Nothing on the wet side of life...though there is much interest.

Demand drives everything in this education business...

    Cheers,

    For my money

I'd bet this is the best hydronics course available - bar none.

My hope was that there would be a course in YellowKnife........

Or maybe,...just maybe...The Bean person could via osmosis realize a course on that really zippy web site with the new adobe 7 attainable goodies, Just for the likes of the ;Time skrunched, overworked ,stressed out and heavily dissapointed....*~/:)

    Mr. Bean goes to school.

Ron, Nice to hear from you. The course was excellent. What you have to expect from Robert is, he does the instructing with the intention of teaching you and having you apply and understand. There was no getting away from learning it with out doing the homework assigned each night. Robert Bean's intentions are that if you focus on the material,
you should expect to pass if you work hard at it.

Wolseley / Cronkhite will likely hold another one in the new year for the balance of our staff. I just need to coordinate with our management when this can happen, as well with Lynn @ HRAI. I have no doubt that the same program and location in Calgary will work again. I will let you know if I can make this fly.

    Training, fishing and hunting

For all you "remote" Robert fans trying to entice him to your neck of the woods, try scheduling something around hunting or fishing season.

Not only will that increase the odds of Robert making an appearance, there may even be some of his industry friends willing to tag along!!!

    hunting or studying?

Hey Bill, nice to hear from ya.
The problem with that is Robert sends out so much darn homework the only time you would have is if you daydreamed during the class!

    Bud!!!

    Hunting? Fishing?

Sounds like the makings of a boys gone wild video!

Start up a game of poker and I'll bring the chips for the beer...we can talk shop while we shoot the...breeze...urp.

Marks cabin in Denver sounds like a good place to start then work our way to Dave east coast fishing hole by that time we'll be ready to visit Tim Doran up on the Isle of Long for some surf and turf...then there's Mr. Bills island that needs to cull a few fish around the dock...and I think Dave Heath and the boys need a trip up to the Queeen Charlottes and while we're up there - Weezbo and Company a spit and shine away to Anchorage and some awesome trout fishing - **** Barnette and I slayed over 70 in one day while freezing our tails off..who cares about the cold when you're releasing fishies...cavitation just has a different meaning when your burping bud.

Ever thought of a subscription tele-education offering

    Robert,

With people having broadband access, you could teach people all over. Now the time together is wonderful, but there's only one of you and many people to teach. Dave could be the cameraman and I'll do the Internet side.

Of course you would have local students as well as remote, so it would mostly feel like the same thing from your end.

A dream vacation tour come true!

I've seen the area where ME's cabin is located and that's a slice of heaven come down to earth. Righteous starting point! Mrs. & Mr. ME gave Lois & me a tour of the area this past year - mucho thanks to both for a day well spent. As for my "fishing hole"? It's two miles long and rated as one of the best trout streams in PA. Fly fishing only & to give the beauts a sporting chance, no barbs allowed on those hooks. But, it ain't the fishing, it's the chance to escape life's hard climb - if only for a moment - that keeps me going back. No 2%'ers allowed!

    The rest sounds even better(G).
