    Bosch Wall Hung Boiler

Heard from a reliable source that in the Spring, Bosch will release a Wall Hung Condensing Boiler. This could be interesting because Bosch owns Buderus. Will they compete against each other? Has anyone else heard about this?
    Thanks,
    Rick

    Releasing yes, but making?

Bosch owns a lot of companies including E.L.M. LeBlanc who makes/made the AquaStar line. Maybe they had ELM make some improvements, or something :) It should be interesting though, because Bosch are fine tools and Buderus are fine boilers, so I can't imagine them putting their name on an inferior product.

I liked AQ tankless heaters; sold & installed lots of them, but they weren't powerful enough for this market (North American). They have since been outclassed by Takagi, Rinnai & Noritz, but only in performance & technology. They still are very reliable, easily serviced, long lasting water heaters,

So, I guess I'm saying that Bosch makes good choices at the time, and will probably continue to do just that.

    Come on, Rick, where's the pic's & links :)

Brian, steaming in Swampland. 81*F manana ?

The more choices the market has...

... the better the consumers, contractors, etc. are off. Competition keeps companies on their toes, innovation up, customer service up, etc. I welcome all the condensing boilers that are making their debut in this country, whether they're private-labeled or not. Since the US hydronic market is small by world standards, all sorts of economic scenarios could play out.

And it's not that unusual for mega-corps (which Bosch has become) to compete at lots of different price points and to compete within the corporation between divisions. Look at VW, for example, with their VW, Skoda, Audi, etc. brands sometimes competing for the same customers...

    competing?

Not unusual at all . Say there are 13 independent boiler companies you buy two and then market under 4 different names by introducing a couple more . Now there are 15 companies and you own 5 . Know what that means ? you win.

    Gollly, Rick

that looks compact. Is that the boiler or a Tankless heater? Can't squeeze much stuff into that small shell.

I guess by the size of it, that it will be in the lower output ranges. I think they're aiming at Munchkins etc', what think Y'all.

Got any spec's. And how will it be distributed?

    Merry Christmas everyone.

    Brian.
