Steam vs. Hot water

if you have to add water to keep it from shutting off you probably have steam. There will be a glass cylinder on the side of the boiler (the sight glass) with water about 1/2 way up on it. This is installed on steam boilers and not on hot water boilers.
Adding water every other day seems too frequent. Post radiator pics and any areas you suspect might be leaking. We can be of more help when we get a better picture of whats going on in this system.

Steam vs. Hot water
Just recently divorced and now stuck with the house issues by myself. How can I tell if I have hot water or steam heat in my home? Someone said to look at the radiators, but what do I look for? Also, I need to add water every other day to by boiler system or the heat cuts off. What can I do?
