GB and RC control??

Put in the first GB and have lots of questions lately!!!! The system is all panel rads with TRV's (except in the room with the RC controller). Is the RC capable of night time setback? The manual for it talks about a clock - but I don't see a clock or where to set it. Also- when the system was operating, it was 1.5 degrees over the setpoint and the burner was still on. Is this right? What is the differential? Does it really "teach" itself how to run like I have heard in the past? Inquiring minds gots ta know!!!! Thanks.

The indoor reset scheme of the GB seems to be confusing lots of people.
At least you're using TRVs.
Yes, it will learn.
Just never forget that the space with the RC-controller is the 100% master!
Setback is ALWAYS available via the individual TRVs. General setback is available by setting the RC-controller to a low level. Sorry--haven't read about the timing options but such should be preferable as it will "understand" the difference between setting on the RC and desired setback.
More and more, I'm becoming convinced that savings from daily setbacks are mainly fallacy. GENERAL setback however, combined with a condensing/modulating boiler and TRVs offers truly amazing reductions in fuel consumed. The control system of the GB does this automatically...
The only flaw with the control system of the GB is that for finest, most efficient operation you must design your system such that any generally desired differences in space
temperature are "hard wired" via emitter size vs. heat loss.

"General" setback is an at-all-times reduction in thermostat setting.0 -
