Not to cause waves, but if it continues, You have 2 options.. Blow them in or stay quiet and loose every job. I lost only one job this year. I was mad, but did not say a thing. I value my guy's and their families health more than money. It hurts and I know I could have taken the easy rout. Everyone is supposed to play by the rules but don't. I have no definative answer for you.

Asbestos Abatement
How are contractors in your area handling asbestos pipe and breeching abatement? Seems many contractors are abating asbestos themselves to gain a pricing advantage, even though it is illegal and exposes themselves, their employees, and their customers to a known hazard.
Any recommendations on how to handle a competitor who illegally abates asbestos?

Think about it
You lost the job because of the cheapest but illegal bid. If you or your men get called in to fix something down the road is there still asbestos fibers lingering in the air? In our area an air quality test has to be done before the job is signed off.
On another note I lost an uncle due to asbestosis so if someone got turned in my feelings wouldn't be hurt.
