Electric HW Boiler Recommendations with design Question
Hi,
I have a customer that requires three zones for hot water heat. He must go with electric for this system.
BTU Requirements:
1 Zone 50,000
2 Zone 40,000
3 Zone 20,000
What electric boiler is available for the total BTU requirement of all three zones, if any? What brand is best for staging and servicing?
Secondly, would it be cheaper to use two boilers or more instead of one large one?
I am familiar with the IBR design for hot water gas/oil systems, but for electric are there different Delta T requirements?
The biggest question of all is making sure there is enough water GPM across it to not overheat or harm the boiler. Is it typical to install a bypass circuit like that used on our gas boilers?
Thanks
Rich

Look at
the ARGO AT. Step modulation, you need a 32.23 Kw boiler, so you will have to use their modular 32, but it is a great little boiler have used several. easy to install 80# (there-abouts).
