Vaporstat vs Presurtrol

I realize they do the same thing, but doesnt the vaporstat cut out the burner earlier while maintaning just a slightly lower pressure?

Vaporstat vs Pressuretrol
In a one pipe steam sysytem is one more effecient than the other as far as fuel costs?
Seems lower pressure keeps the burner from cycling as much, hence lower fuel consumption, but what about responsive heating time?0 -
shouldn't be any response time diifferance that matters
a vapor stat in my opinion is easier but once the pressuretol is set up, which takes a little time since you have to watch several cycles to get it set up, it will do the same thing0 -
efficiency
The vaporstat is indeed likely a bit more efficient than the pressuretrol. However, I hear that the savings probably won't overcome the cost of the vaporstat in a realistic timeframe.
