Returns-dry to wet conversion

All:
Planning a basement re-model and would enjoy having the extra few inches of headroom taken up by the dry return lines. I am considering converting to wet returns and running along the basement walls. I would apppreciate any comments or concerns wrt to doing so.

I don't foresee any problems
go for it. A 1-inch wet return will handle 700 square feet EDR- more than the same size dry return if memory serves.
If you don't have main vents, now would be a real good time to add them.0
