Indirect Domestic Hot Water

I'd pipe the tanks in paralell to minimize the possibility of stacking. I presume that the boilers do more than just heat hot water and the quick sketch I threw together reflects that.
Have you tried contacting Monitor? What do they recommend?
Legend: AS= Air separator. Also a good location for the expansion tank. Note the reverse return configuration for the indirects. That way they both get the same flow of water. Cheers!

Domestic Indirect Hot Water
Trying to figure out the best way to pipe indirect system using 2-MZ 40 Boilers, 140,000btu and 2 50 gal. indirect tanks. Wondering if it better to hook tanks up parallel on the domestic hot water side or in series?0 -
You should also reverse return the DHW in and out.0 -
Very good point....
... and thanks for pointing that out. The error has been corrected in the diagram but does the rest of it make sense?0 -
You know me
Mister energy mizer. With this you can't get anything but a balanced and even flow. With minimal power consumption.0
