Just added new chimney liner

just telling my story if anyone is interested:

local chimney folks just replaced chimney liner for me.
old one collapsed inside, blocked it off. (galv. steel pipe, sized too small also) blockage caused lots of problems of course, including CO in the house.

they had to break into the chimney in 2 places from inside the house (that was fun) to pull out old pipe.

also demolished and removed by existing chimney stack, as it was falling over and would have been tough to keep. replaced with a nice 8' tall stainless pipe and cap.

boiler running much smoother now, i think we had a blockage for awhile. had lots of problems in spring too and knowone knew why. hopefully save some $$ now too.

total cost: $6900. ($4700 for liner, $2200 for demo/cap/new stack) ouch. (brooklyn, NY)
let me know if you have any questions.
