Hoffman 500 Vents??

Hello All-
Appreciate any help you could offer. I'm on a single pipe steam system. At some point prior to my owning this home, the previous owner did a bathroom renovation where they replaced the original radiator with an in-wall convector. It's currently not drawing heat and I suspect that the vent is to blame. It's a Hoffman 500 and I'm just wondering if that's what I should be looking for to replace it. Thanks in advance.

i would recommend
a gorton vent as your best replacement of that cough, cough, vent..even the standard hoffman 40 is better than that piece of crapola.

thanks
Thanks for the reply Gerry. I have replaced all the other vents in the house with Gortons and have been really happy with teh impact on the overall system. I just wasn't sure that i could use the same type of vent on the convector- it's the only one in the house and I'm just not familiar with how they work. Anyway, i'll give it a shot. Thanks again.0 -
does it stand vertical?
if so, you'll have to get a convector vent, as opposed to the angle radiator vent..its the same thing just straight instead of a 90 degree pattern.
