Print Ad for Hydronic- especially steam heating

I realize that this site mostly deals with technical issues. However, I am looking for some marketing help. I want to put an effective ad in a local magazine for a city with a lot of steam systems heating the homes. My goal is develop more contacts for routine service on these homes leading to additional work down the road. The ad slicks available from the mfc. are poor to say the least. Their primary intent seems to be advertising in trade publications and are not to be used in addressing the end user. Does anyone have an ad that addresses the needs of the end user? I would appreciate email copies of anything that has worked well for people. Thanks in advance. pkw

    The historical angle

How about finding an antique add about a boiler company, maybe there is one local to your town.

This would not necessarily show what steam does, but it would show you care about old homes and that you know more about them. Steam is usually found in older homes and you won't have the feel of a grand old mansion if you don't have the steam heat in it anymore.

    Ebay sells many vintage prints.

    Great idea

Combining modern care with old time nostalgia

might make for a very interesting ad. At least it would have the eye catching appeal to make the casual onlooker stop and take notice.

Steam folks have a difficult time in many areas, getting knowledgable service help. If you fit that bill, you should be able to quickly gain many referrals from happy current customers.

Good luck on you idea. We definitely can help when it comes to cleaning and treating residential steam systems.
