Please educate me, is this system running on const. cir.?
Why the 2 strap on aquastats?
How do you get the flow you need to the the rad. manifold by using standard tees off the main?

I have seen that backflow preventor a few times now...

who makes it ? oh is the indirect drain a part of the anti backflow suppression valve or is it a add on ? i think it looks sharp. my buddy Wayne is about to lash up 4 of them... *~/:) maybe i can find some time to catch some pics when he does....thanks for the post it looks like those 142's are for this century :)

    Nice job

Just curious on something, have you had any trouble with the backflo preventor? Had some trouble with them in my area. Mostly related to the installer but a few with bad gasket's in them. That and where did you hide the sediment trap on the gas line? I haven't had the honor to install one yet, I'm hoping my boss will join the rest of the world soon though.. :) Keep up the nice work..

    Really nice install

Who makes the nuetralizer? Is the nuetralizer a requirement where you are?

    Nice Job

Looks like nice work. Question if I may, what is piped into the DHW return connection on the GB142 manifold? Thanks for the pictures!!

    GB142

    Thanks,

It is a little tighter spot than I usually like to work with so it is a little clutered, we have not had any issues with the backflow preventers we are using they are the watts 009, the gas line was installed by a piping contractor so that is not our work, the condensate nutralizer is a Vissmann product and we are using it because the building has cast plumbing, the line on the DHW return runs up the side of the boiler to the low water cut off above the boiler.

Again thanks its nice to hear good things about your work.

Just curious about the dhw supply & return I notice you have a cap on one of the male adaptors where did your tie in. The dhw line if not out of the port furnished for this purpose.

    TN4

I can't wait for their interface module so I can hook one up with the new Tekmar TN4 with indoor and outdoor temperature feedback, DHW,and Set point Control.

    System

    Rich,

No the pumps only fire when there is a call for heat, as for the aquastats one is a manual reset high limit required by code along with a low water cutoff, the second one is extra protection for the floor set so if water tempratures go above 110(our design water temp for this job is 95) it will shut down the boiler, we adjust the flow using the globe valves located on the return of each manifold.
