    Stop and smell the rose's

When I was a boy my Dad took me into Boston for the day and it was just he and I. I never forgot it.

So when I won two tickets for an afternoon game at Fenway, I decided to take my oldest.

Christopher and I took the train in at 8:00 am. We walked over to the USS Constitution. After that we took a Taxi over to Fanuiel Hall and had lunch. Next was a subway ride over to the RedSox game.

For those of you who's children are older you understand how fleeting childhood is. For Jamie ... spend time with the kids. Work will be here the next day... their youth won't be.

    Scott ( Dad ) Milne

PS: I think picture four was an early Wetstock.

That's such a good thing to do. We all should do that.

My son's almost 4 and he's asking to come to work with me. I'd rather take him to the zoo.

    What a day !

Looks like a great time, going to see the World Champion Boston Red Sox and spending the day with Dad what more could a boy want. This weekend my two girls are competing ( on two different teams) for the Massachusetts State Babe Ruth softball championship,it ought to be interesting to see what the rest of the state has for ballplayers.

    Very nicely done

While you were hitting one outta the park, we were trying to do the same with a very frustrating condensing boiler a long ways away from York that was installed by a hydronically challenged fellow who has refused to return to the scene of his at-bat.

Nice to see sonmeone hit a grand slam! Good call Dad(G).

    Scott,

It looks like Christopher enjoyed the day even more then you did, that's great! You are giving him memories, one of the only things that we truly own and no one can take away from us.

I hear you about spending time with the kids! We have been really busy lately and we are working 70 hour weeks. Well my 2 1/2 year old asked me where I was going the other morning and I told him work! He just turned and said oh. You want to talk about a slap in the face. I took him to the beach that weekend and we practiced his surfing. It was great but went toooo fast.

I'm extremely thankfull for the work, we need it! It's just so much to juggle and I am sure you and some of the other guys here feel the same way.

    I do Jamie

But the work will be there tomorrow, his youth won't be.

Two weeks ago I told Christopher that I was sorry we hav'nt spent much time together lately. He looked up and said "Its O.K. Dad ". My first thought was NO, Its not allright. Thats what turned this into a big day.

Don't miss it, its only there for a short time.

I got the biggest hug when I got home from work today, I know why :).

Great story -- from a great guy. I really appreciate your love for your children. I'm the same way and count my blessings every day.

By the way, in that last pic are you drinking a cola? My man, I've never seen you without a beah in your hand!
