Trying to locate these in the US

    http://www.geonordic.se/page9.html

This is a pretty handy little tool.

Small, wet-rotor, PSC (permanent split capacitor) pumps are not known for their low-end start up torque. After sitting idle (systems without pump excercising) through the cooling season the impeller can "freeze" up. This would be handy tool for identifying these "lock-ups". The pump will still have a correct voltage reading, but will not be moving any fluid.

Anyone know of anywhere in the US I can get a couple of these? I emailed this company in Sweden but have not received a response as of yet.

    Regards,

    PR

    Grundfos

    Pauli,

Grundfos has them. In fact, I have a spare one on my desk. If you can't get it from Grundfos, let me know and I'll send it to you.

I bet you your local Grundfos Guy has a whole Box of them. If you need more, I know where and how to source some.

    Take care Bud,

    almost forgot......

....those will not work on all Circs. I know that those A.C. Indicators (as they are called) dont work on all TACO Pumps, for example. It always depends on the construction, I think.

    Again, hope this helps.

    They work!

on Grundfos and B&G wet rotor pumps. as well as solonoid valves. Able Distributors in Chicago also had a bunch made with their logo.

    I suggested a heatinghelp.com version a while back :)

    Paul did you try ...................

Viessmann thats where I got mine. I also got a quote from the manufacturer but found them a little pricey. I think they were about $4.00 per unit (US) with 500 units ordered plus setup and artwork charges. John@Reliable

I have a couple of these Grunfos tools. But you have to realize that they indicate voltage, not rotation. They will spin whether the pump is locked up or not.
