No problems with Ridgid/Viega ProPress fittings. They're pricey, but so what? I use both type M and L copper.

I've also used the Viega PureFlow pressfittings for PEX and PEX-Al-PEX pipe. Way to go...

    In Progress

We're almost finished with this Vitodens installation. We're using the Mupro wall brackets and pipe clamps to make it easier to get all the piping arranged.

    Excellent work Paul

Thanks for the advice on the Rems tool and the Mupro hangers. I talked to Leo this morning and I am sold on quite a few items, especially the all-thread rod cutter that doesn't leave burrs.

Are all of your Propress fittings from Ridgid/Viega? Have you had any compatability issues?

    Again, Top Shelp work Paul.

    Regards,

    PR

Leo is more than happy to send Mupro samples

to folks interested in looking at the Mupro line. They have some unique and quality hangers. I'm looking at a hanger to support expansion tanks securely and attractively. www.muprousa.com or Leo at

Mupro earth quake support valve appeals to me *~/:)...

almost looks like you could place a light weight shelf for tools on the carrier. It looks like these clamps are going to be the ticket...while i like the clamps the unistrut bar is way cool:) not to heavy and a sight more easy to cut to length....Paul,Have you used any stainless steel press fittings and pipe? where does one find the materials? anyone make a multi core header (Wirsbo) in 1" & 3/4" ? seems the white pipe with the Viessmann boilers would look very This Century... one other question, when your pro pressing a T on a 1"pipe comming out of the wall , what is the minimal spacings from the wall and to the next pipe? that work looks like it must be very close fitting to fitting comming out of the wall......is there any manufacturer of a plastic eschuteon that can be purchased in "Lengths" for headers with multiple pipes ? sort of a two piece plastic flat plate that one can cut/drill holes into for pipe penatrations of slightly cramped pipes?

The install looks clean :) Thanks for the pictures of lash-*~/:)up....The spiral duct clamp like hot rod says would be a sharp way to bolt down the expansion tank :)

    Plastic trim rings

These (split plastic) were available in a white plastic as well as chrome, once upon a time. Look into the plastic hanger manufactures. Maybe Sioux Chief, LSP, or others.

I've made custom escutions with a piece of plastic and a hole saw in the past :)

    SS piping , et al

Weez, I'm not aware of any SS prssfittings that are available yet in N. America.

The tongs have a min of 11/2" distance to press. We had to manually push the piping from the crawlspace behind the water tank to make the press, as we only had a 1" stubout.

If there's a demand, then we'll probably see multicore headers.

Have you seen the Rigid compact press tool available from Viega? It can be used on Propress or Viega pex fittings by changing the jaws. Does up to 1" pex or copper. Very slick rig.

On another note, Viega just brought out a Propress manifold that looks to be a very useful piece also. It's 1" copper with 1/2" Propress "tees" and comes in single port or triple port design for right now. I understand that more varieties are on the way. In the plumbing section of their catalog but I can see a host of uses for them in hydronic applications also. Coming out at the same time is an inexpensive, very nice compact "Dahl" ball valve that will press right in the manifold. Viega has also just REDUCED the price on their machined brass manifolds!

    Yo Steve...

Yes, I've seen the Ridgid compact tool. At some point I'll order the tongs for the Pureflow pressfittings for the Rems Accupress.

    I'll check out the manifolds.
