HRV Pressure Relief Damper

Hi all,

I'm installing a Broan HRV and need two pressure relief dampers, 6". One is for intake, one for exhaust.

Does anyone know if I can just use off the shelf units for this app, or do I have to buy the one's made specifically by the manufacturer?

Actually, I had them ordered from VentingDirect.com about two weeks ago, but those clowns just charged my card and didn't tell me that the item was out of stock and still is today! I emailed them a week ago for the status and they never responded, and when I called, they said that they don't know when it's coming in! Yet they charged my card the same day I ordered! I just cancelled the order in disgust.

    Heat recivery ventelator? is that what you are working on?

    Go for it!

    I doubt thay are anything specisl just generic atmospheric vent dampers, better than a dryer vent though. A/C folks use them a lot. they shut when no fan is running. Should be readily avalkiable near your location .
