Replace PEX that has overheated?

The high limiter on our gas fired FHW furnace failed and the high temp caused a brand new length of 5/8-in Wirsbo hePEX to burst. Other 2 zones in the house are copper. Burst supply line has been repaired with a coupler, but a plumber has suggested that we replace both the supply and the return line on that zone, since both lines were subjected to the high temps. Most of the PEX for this zone in inside the walls and ceiling between the boiler and the second story baseboard (which insurance will pay to open up.) Do I replace one or both lines? Thanks

Just to finish the topic: I spoke with Wirsbo tech support, and they recommended that both supply and return lines be changed, as both certainly were subjected to temps in excess of 200 degrees. The warranty would no longer be valid under such circumstances.

    Sounds..........

    ....like a plan, Peter.

It's always good to involve the manufacturer in situations like this!
