Just back from a cruise in Alaska. Last full-day at sea (yesterday) we had 70 MPH winds and 19 to 24 foot swells! The North Pacific Ocean can be one nasty spot once outside of the Inside Passage. Half the crew was out sick and most of the passengers too. Nothing like being on a 900' long vessel that's being tossed around like a toy boat in a bathtub(G).

Just our luck, this was the same boat that had an outbreak of the NORA virus on the previous week's cruise (hundreds were stricken). Anyone who got sick (discounting the last day's sea-sick folks) was immediately quarantined to their quarters.
