They are made by Smith's Environmental (formerly VRV Products). They sit on rubber feet and are attached by the face plate so they can be serviced from the front. They also offer a "quick fit" hose kit which comes with 8 or 10 feet of onix tubing and four connectors.

ANY BODY USED BEACON AND TOESTER KICKSPACE HEATERS.
WHATS YOYR THOUGHT?

I like the Toester,
Given the choices. They are a bit quieter and worlds easier to service if installed with service in mind.
We used B/M units for a long time and when they go south, it usually meant having to replace the blower motor. This is NOT an easy task to say the least. To replace the rubber "bearings" was a PITA also. Turns out it was about the same cost timewise to just replace the whole unit.
Lessons learned .... Install any kick space heater with ball valves that have drains. Always leave enough pipe to install a coupling because it will need to be serviced or replaced . It will ALWAYS be easier to repair outside of the space it is located in so make removal easy. Chris0 -
Toester is a good brand but a little to deep front to back sometimes. I switched to Myson. Smaller size and the hot water can flow in either direction. I pipe mine with Kitec in such a way that I can slide the whole unit out from the front. No need to make a removable floor in the cabinet. Can not do this with BM because the grill is not big enough.
