Invoices

I am looking at the last bunch of invoices I have and i will have to re-order soon. The problem is that my typewriter is wearing out, my invoices are 2 page with a cardboard back, and my typewriter will print through it. IF I re-order the same invoices I will also have to buy another typewriter to be able to use them.
I am wondering if there is a better way? Is it possible to have the computer generate an invoice that you can use and fill out on the job site?
This could be the perfect oppertunity to upgrade my paperwork system, but I don't know if there is anything better?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Invoices

I use 3 part work orders which when a COD job is complete, the customer receives a copy. Commercial customers also receive a copy, but they are invoiced off the PC and the copy of the invoice is sent along with it. "My delux invoices" is the program I use. Blank piece of paper to professional invoice in seconds. TYhis program also keeps receivables and lets you know who ows you money and if they are late to pay. I like it.

    try nebs

thats New England Buisness Systems. They have really great stuff for larege and small buisness. We usually handright out invoices on a pre-printed invoice 'cause we get paid on the spot. Very little billing. The work is done, I get paid

    NEBS

Al, like Jeff we also use NEBS here in the UK. Their 3 part Work Orders are great. It's a good way to have a manual way of recording 'time 'n' materials' used on jobs. Then our office girls can post out invoices. Or you can get paid when the job is finished by hand writting an invoice on site.
Please remember 'Cash is King'. Getting paid is a very, very important in business.
Thanks and good luck in your quest Al.

    My Invoices and Estimates, Deluxe

I got my copy of the above program just last year at on of the big office supply box stores. Several years before, I had been browsing through the cheap software and found an earlier version of the program for less than 10 dollars and decided to try it.

    I never looked back.

A laptop, a printer that I could use in the van (mine is a HP 350 battery operated one, but I know people that have a desktop printer and an inverter) and you're great! Since my hand writing is horrible, this has been a lifesaver.

With the new program, it will tell you when people are overdue with payments and add interest and late fees if you want. It will even help you with inventory if you'd like!
