flat plate hx

Good to be back after two whole months with no computer, oh the pain. Anyways, I'm in the process of piping up a buderus ga 124 primary/secondary with one zone of hi temp, an inderect, and a flat plate hx zone for the radiant (no oxygen barrier, a total homemade system, I'll have to post pics... definetly some wierd stuff on this one... homemade copper batch tank, terminal strips for the t stat wiring,no purging method for the radiant, no exp tank or anything.) anyways, my question is where should i put my three way motorized mixing vavle for the radiant? on the boiler side of things or on the hx side? According to the Tekmar diagram (i'm going to be installing the TN 4 on this one when it comes out) they show the three way being piped on the hx side of things... but to me it seems that it would be most logical to put it on the boiler side of things so that there will less temperature overshooting... my fear is that with the small water content that the hx has, if the pump from the boiler shoots too much hot water into the hx, by the time the three way ramps down it'll already have overheated the circuit.... am I over thinking this one? I'll try to post a drawing later of what my plan is, i knowit's tough to picture thru words...

Are we doing constant circ on the radiant? i would put the mix on the boiler side. hx is only there to separate the oxygen laden water from the boiler. if sized properly it shouldnt matter because you already took the transfer needs into account.0
