Does any one here use, or have used the products that watts sells for radiant. I am thinking about trying new type of tubing and the local supply house is pushing watts.

I use some Watts Radiant products

they will be offering their own pex extruded in Springfield, Missouri soon. I believe the pex and heating pex they currently sell comes from a variety of different manufactures.

I think the Onix is made only by Dayco, or whom ever owns Dayco currently, possibly Parker Hannifin, or something like that. Your area rep should have the details.

As a branch of Watts Industries they have a bunch of new and unique products added to their line. Watts owns all types of companies worldwide. They seem to be buying more every day!

Don't let their "Look ma no plates" ads fool you they do offer an extruded aluminum transfer plate for their heating pex :)

    Well Hot Rod ?

What do you say Heating Guru? Your an Onyx man, you have installed Watts radiant pex and onyx pipe plus have used their special tools, can you recommend their product ? I would. Customer support, engineering, and product quality I feel Watts Radiant has more than proven itself.

    I have basically moved

my company to about 70% use of Watts Radiant products. Top of the line. great representation. Fantastic price point. And the stainless steel headers are wonderful to work with. Besides, the orange colour of their pex, makes us stand out!!!!!!

Cold turkey on the Onix, actually

did my last Onix job in 2000! For me the only thing it offers over pex or PAP is some flexability. Generally not worth the cost of the tube and fitting/ clamp for that feature, to me anyhow.

Pex with plates has proven to be a much better performer and the $$'s are real close. Watts Radiant does offer the Radiant Engineering extruded plates now. FINALLY :)
