I've been following several threads and had a general question. It seems that there are quite a few manufacturers of gas fired condensing boilers. Who, other than Viessman makes an oil fired condensing boiler? Any favorites out there??

Only model available in US
is the Monitor FCX. Complicated, expensive and only comes in one size. I wouldn't do it unless low sulphur oil was available to you. Viessmann and many Euro makers have condensing oil models, but sadly none are marketed in the US.0 -
Oil Fired Condensing
The guy's at my local supply house are carrying Viessman.I was checking out the spec's the other day. Try Webber Supply in Bangor Maine. Phone 1-800 524-4141.0 -
Are you sure?
Neither the VitolaPlus nor the Vitoplus are officially sold in the US, as far as I know. Is this a pilot program?0 -
Don't bother
Until we get low sulfur oil, I wouldn't bother trying. I had the opportunity to see the Viessmann unit in action in my godfather's house, he lives just outside of Frankfurt, Germany. Pretty cool, I still curse myself for not taking pics of it....
