9D
every once in a while you get a leaker. could be dirt clogged in strainers vor replace it. i had one recently that would blow wide open when a flushometer nearby was used. took it apart but saw nothing unusual so replaced it. such is life with mechanical equipment. do not insert plug in drain! have seen some less drain but not sure if they are approved0 -
all they are is a double checkvalve
so if you get any little bit of something in the spring check thay will leak a little. They are a sinch to take apart and clean, but prolly just easier to replace. Also if you get a big drop in house pressure or aother fluxuation, they will drbble. They are jsut doing their job in that case.0 -
We had problems all the time
with the 9D . We install boilers in places right near living areas , so a little bit of water can do alot of damage . We switched to a ventless backflow preventer , I forget the make . Gotta check local codes to see if they're allowed .0 -
Had many problems last winter but not so much this year. One boiler replacemnet we did I got a call that next weekend saying she had an inch of water on the basement floor. It was the 9D leaking wide open0
