Instant Hot Water

Is it bad to use my boiler as an "instant" hot water heater for non-potable water, basically bypassing the heat HX for DHW by pulling it right out of the boiler? I have a boiler that can handle low reurn temps, but am I asking for thermal shock by continually heating a fresh supply of cold water? I could potentially pull this off by drawing water out of the indirect loop, so the entire space heat loop would not be compromised. (There is a spigot on the retun pipe from the indirect to the boiler return).

WHAT ARE YOU DOING????????
UNLESS i AM NOT UNDERSTANDING YOU CORRECT, YOU BASICALLY WANT TO USE THE BOILER AS A HOT WATER HEATER????
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL YOU DO SUCH A THINK, IT IS A MAJOR HEALTH ISSUE, STICK WITH A INDIRECT HEATER, A HOT WATER HEATER OR A EEMAX INSTANTANEOUS ELECTRIC HEATER FOR POINT OF USE, BUT NEVER DRAW BOILER WATER.
AND EVEN USING IT FOR NON POTABLE WATER, WELL THATS YOUR CHOICE BUT CAST IRON WILL NOT HANDLE 40 DEGREE COLD WATER COMING IN AND WILL NOT HEAT IT UP AS FAST AS YOU WANT,
WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO ??????0 -
OK, so I guess its a bad idea. Just want some HOT water but its not practical for me to hook up to the sink. I guess I will just buy a long hose. THANKS!0 -
look into this
look into like a small instantaneous hot water heater, they are the size of a shoe box, and come in 120v good for a small sink. look in the grainger catalog or like eemax. they are fairly affordable and work well0
