press tool

know if the propress tool , with the stadler head will work with
wirsbo multicor ? Also has used press fittings for oil fill and vent lines.
I usually use 2" black, but I wonder if o-rings with oil may be problem?
I know I can save time from cutting and threading and semi-retire threading machine. Also, when Nibco comes out with their press fittings, will it work with ridgid.
I am seriously considering buying tool this week, one of my suppliers now stocking fittings, and just want to know how much bang I can get out of tool for its large price tag.

    try the rems people

    http://www.rems.de/go.aspx?lid=2&tid=15&pgid=6

they make all sorts of "radial" press tools - notice that thye are not advertizing the "propress compatible" even though it still is, as they are under lawsuit from viega -
so while the germans and italans duke it out, you can buy the remes toolkit and it does a nice job on propress and a whole host of radial pressing needs

there i am starting trouble again ;)

    Propress

The Propress will work on Wirsbo Multicore but you will have to buy the Reems Multicore heads from Wirsbo for the propress.

I thought Rems won the EU case

    Kal,

It's good to start trouble sometimes.

I thought that Rems had won that case. Maybe they only won one round...

I've never quite understood why Viega made soch a big deal over this, the money is in the fittings.

got a good rems dealer in the usa?...

lost the card i got from them at ish boston - tnx

need a radial prees for the zurn pex

dont like wirsbo system much, the pex "memory" is way to slow and time consuming when it gets cold - with the zurn system - you slide it on, crimp, done - fraction of the time
