Are we the only company with bad Hago and Sid nozzles? I think they know they have A PROBLEM BECAUSE WE ARE SEEING INITIALS BEING STAMPED ON THEM NOW.

    We use Hago

Exclusively. Haven't had any problems at all. What do you mean the nozzles are "bad".

    Bad, How?

Sid buys a lot of nozzles from Hago, how do the initials make them bad? If I buy 100 t-stats I can get my name on them too. Just because you may not like me it doesn't make it a bad t-stat

I think I know what your saying Its not really the nozzles are bad but every now and then I have to put in two or three to get the burner to work the way I want. Especially the smaller sizes. This winter I have been buy more and more delevan nozzles that are smaller than .75

    BAD SCHNOZZLES?

I use mostly Delavan, usually because our local supply house carries Delavan. Haven't had a lot of problems with them, it's usually a piece of gorp from the high-quality heating oil we are putting in these 30 and 40 year old tanks.
After we stir the tank up, then jar the filter apart, clear the line, yank the screen, and yes, even after we purge the nozzle port, sometimes some gorp gets thru! Remember that the metering slots in the nozzle make a human hair look FAT! Especially at the new, improved "lower" firing rates!
Not only that - I have seen burner boiler combos change their preference after a few years of operation ie - after using a hollow for a few years, the burner will complain unitl we run a "nozzle application test" and we leave with a happier customer and solid nozzle in the unit.
Remember the "nozzle application test" from the Burkhart manual? It's still a vaild test, and conditions vary from state to state and basement to basement. The manufacturers recommendation IS important, but try to remember that it is just that - a "recommendation."

Best of luck looking for that "perfect" combination!
