I am laying out a U seal for my steam return using 2" pipe. How much do you allow for threads into a fitting when measuring a length of pipe?

you should measure from the face of each fitting, then add 1/2" to 5/8" thread insertion for each fitting.0 -
Thanks. Is this true for smaller pipe? 3/4, 1" and so0 -
until there are more threads per inch, eg1/8th steam vent
