First bladder expansion tank

Can anyone remember when bladder type expansion tanks were first introduced on the market? Can you remember when you used your first one?
I need some idea of how long they've been in use for a court case I'm working on.
Thanks!

1986?
I think it was in 1986 that I installed my first bladder style expansion tank. I was helping one of the installers and he had never seen one before either.
Hope this helps.

One was installed in my house
in 1983. They had been in use for a few years before that.

Wouldn't it be amazing
to see a fully charged 1954 Extrol on a system ? The oldest date I've seen on a fuctional tank was 1979 , we replaced it last year and still held air .0 -
I found
a 1974 Taco last winter still working like a champ0 -

I was in high school helping my older brother do installations during the summer. 1977 or 78 is when we started using them on new installations. Beat the heck out of hanging expansion tanks0 -

Amtrol!
I actually searched B&G's site for such a statement before I posted my question, but to no avail. Didn't think of Amtrol's site.
Thanks for the lead.
Jim.

Thanks, everyone!
Everyone I've talked to said mid to late 70's. The Amtrol quote was the only exception.
Thanks for the input.
