thanks for one year of book sales, P. Linhardt

Thanks to everyone who visited this website and purchased a copy(s) of my field guide. On this one year anniversary and at last count, we have shipped to 25 of the states in the U.S. and two of the provinces of Canada.

A special shout out to the first official customer, Paul Lessard. I have shared a brew or two with Paul at the last two Wetstocks, but didn't realize until doing some research that P. Lessard was at the top of the list for the first batch of books going out on February 23, 2004. So, thanks bro for starting the whole thing off. I'll toast one to you tonight.

Another shout out to my mentor, Dan Holohan. He encouraged my enterprise and supported me through all the times of doubt. I don't think that I would have finished publication without his help. I've also shared a brew or two with Dan at the Wetstocks and the Lobster Mash, and look forward to raising the glass once again in Minnesota. Thanks, me matey. Let me buy a round sometime.

There are plenty more of you out there to thank, but I'm going to keep this short. Many thanks to all, and to all a good night.

Best personal regards, Pat

    Hey Pat

I like the way the steam system learning curve dropped for my new hire(s). One night with your book and they "got it."

Thanks for the brewskie you already bought me lad.

Goin' to Minnesota for the next Wetstock?

    one night with my book?

    Hey Ken,

I'll only go to 'sota if you promise to bring the pony-tail hat. I still fall off the stool thinking about you and Dan wearing that hat. What a hoot!

I'm a little uncomfortable with the way you say the newbies spend the night with my book. Could we re-phrase that?

    Best regards, Pat

    no...thank you!

    Hi Dan,

Hope you and the lovely made it back to the Isle of Long by now. Don't you have sunsets like that on your island?

Thanks again for all you do, see you in Minnesota and maybe at NAOHSM.

    Best regards, Pat

    jingle in your head

    Hi Gerry,

What is your t-shirt size? Anybody that knows and lives my jingle that well deserves to have it splashed across his chest. Black with white lettering, way cool. Let me know, I have x-large and large. No charge to you.

    Best regards, Pat

    Eh Pat

It is still cool up here. -12F this AM with beautifull frost on the trees. I think I might need one of those XL T shirts for another 5-6 weeks. It's a good thing your pages are laminated cause I been sleeping with your book the last 2 months while recuperating. Must be an age thing - 'cause I just can't get it memorized. Maybe I can compose a jingle incorporating Lost Art with steam up, air out, water back to Yankee Doodle Dandy!? Wadda ya say?

No, thank YOU. Pat and Dan

Between your field guide, the Lost Art, and EDR, I stopped thinking that steam systems belolnged in museums.

(OK, this website helped a lot, too.)

I no longer refer steam calls to others, and in fact, have others referring them to me.

    You guys are the greatest.

Don't stop doing what you're doing!

    Excellent book

Outstanding visual presentation and an easy-to-remember sequence of steam events: steam up, air out, water back. Makes it easy for dopes like me. Thanks and congrats, Pat. Mad Dog
