A Piping Question

I have a one pipe steam system that I'm very happy with in my 80 year old colonial home. It's quiet and efficient and I'd like to keep it that way. This spring I have a remodeling project for our bedroom on the second floor. I need to move the steam radiator closer to the riser. Currently one pipe goes up to the second floor with a 'T' at the end. A one foot pipe at each end of the 'T' goes to our bedroom and my son's bedroom with a radiator at each end. Would I be able to move my radiator closer to the riser or is there a minimum pipe length that needs to be attached between the 'T' and the radiator? I need to place my radiator right at the 'T' leaving the other radiator alone. Thanks in advance!

Be vewy, vewy carefuwl.
You can do that if you don't change the pitch of the piping.
If that long pipe rises up to the radiator, you might have a problem. You would need to get "creative".
DON'T pull up on the riser to make it fit.........
